This shade cloth has a wide border that appears to be possibly heat fused onto the outside and less frequent grommets than another shade cloth I have of this type. This is much more durable than a shade cloth with either a cut edge or a rolled hem with no border or natural woven edge. However, I think it is less durable than a shade cloth I have that has 6 rows of red stiching and a thicker border material. I think it’s a decent shade cloth overall and will probably last longer than two I got which I had to retire at the end of the season, but not the value that two others I’ve bought were. Still, if the size and shade percentage are just right, and you don’t need the border stitching to combat wind stresses, it might be a good option.I will note though that there is NOT a grommet every 2 feet as I saw claimed in the listing. On the 3ft side the only 2 grommets are in the corners, and on the 10ft side there are 5 grommets 29-30inches apart. It says there are reinforcement straps in the corners; I see no corner straps so I am not sure what they are referring to. They say there are double buttonholes on the corners; I think it would be more accurate to say that the grommets on the corners are the same as the grommets on the edges, but they are going through twice the layers of border fabric since they go through the border fabric of two sides.
