FIRST USE ONLY REVIEW. Interesting Drone. I am a part 107 pilot and fly multiple drones for various reasons (roof inspections, downtown photography, etc.). My primary leisure drone is a DJI mavic mini 3. My 7 year old always wanted a drone of his own and i bought him this to try out (I knew he might crash it on day 1 so the super sale price of $27 appealed to me). Unboxing was easy and it linked to the controller right away. Were using VFR so I didnt download the app or anything as we dont need the camera. You can fly it right away without the app. I took it out into our yard for a test spin and the drone fired right up but man, this was a lesson in trim control. If you have no experience flying drones, this thing will take off on you right away. You will need FAST trim control to steady the drone and, god forbid, there is any wind, this thing will be gone. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FLY IF YOU KNOW NOTHING OF FLYING DRONES OR TRIM CONTROL IF THERE ARE ANY OBSTACLES ANYWHERE CLOSE TO YOU. Find a big, open field and start there. If the drone starts flying up, mash down with down trim until it steadys, sideways, mash the other way with quick trim the opposite direction until it steadys. Do not rotate 360 degrees or it will take off again. SLOW movements with quick trim adjustments Tricky drone. Actually, not bad for learning the basics of drone controls, but man, its a crash course (literally).
