A good, sturdy piece of kit essential for attaching front heavy (big zoom lens) cameras to tripods to get a more central stabilization. I ordered this on the strength of other reviewers that it fit their P900 cameras well, but they had to add Velcro to the inside to get a better fit. I wouldn’t have minded having to do that, but it turns out that either they’ve since changed the specs of this item or, the lens on the 950 is bigger than the lens on the 900.Either way, there is already a soft fur-like material on the inside of the ring and it fits the P950 lens very snugly without attaching anything else to it.I’m very pleased with this product. Be aware though you wouldn’t want to leave this ring on the lens all the time – i.e., if you’re taking pictures hand held, because it adds considerable weight to the front end of the camera for hand held shots and makes the camera less comfortable to hold.It doesn’t get in the way of any camera controls.
